Accurate Computer-Based Audio Signal Analysis Eliminates Human Error
Song Seeker processes all the tracks in your catalog using an audio analysis algorithm that creates a database of audio features or unique “fingerprints” that represent the overall timbre or tonal quality of each track.  Song Seeker then uses a proprietary formula developed by the Centre For Digital Music to plot the distance between each fingerprint.  Recommendations are generated by locating X number of tracks that are closest to any given song.

Not only can you download, install and run Song Seeker on demand, the output couldn’t be any easier to parse.  The Windows version generates simple XML and the Linux-based virtual appliance outputs to a MySQL database.  For each track, you get X number of ordered recommendations, and numeric distance values you can use to create proprietary interfaces that demonstrate distances between tracks.
